What information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, together with limited technical data needed to run the website securely.

  • Information you give us: when you complete our contact form, we collect your name, your email address and the details you include in your message.
  • Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) in server logs, to keep the site secure and deliver it to you.

We do not use cookies, analytics or any tracking technology on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

How we use your information

We use your information for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis under UK data protection law:

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you ask about. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in dealing with enquiries and running our business, and where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To keep our website secure and working properly. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting our website and its users.

We will never sell your personal information, and we will not use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:

  • Formspree — processes our contact form and delivers your message to us by email.
  • Vercel — hosts our website.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on our website.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

We keep contact enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless your enquiry becomes an ongoing project or contract. In that case we keep the relevant records for as long as necessary to carry out the work and to meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, our use of your information;
  • request a copy of your information in a portable format; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
